Lana Sue Fultz Obituary

Lana Sue (Stark) Fultz, the oldest of four girls, was born October 12, 1940, in Green Forest, Arkansas to Burton and Ima Lea (Thorne) Stark. Lana Sue gained her angel wings April 13, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.

Lana Sue was united in marriage to Dale Fultz on September 28, 1962, and together they had two children. Lana worked at Tyson Foods and retired in September 2022 after 59 ½ years of service. She enjoyed her job and being able to visit with all who came to get supplies from her during the workday of her final years at the plant.

Lana Sue enjoyed attending stock car races, camping, and spending Sundays at the lake in her early years. Later in life she enjoyed mowing her yard, tending to her flower gardens, and spending time with her grandson. She was also an avid reader. Lana also enjoyed ‘getting her hair fixed’ weekly and rarely missed this ritual for over 40 years at Hair Connection. Lana was known by many names during her life. At the plant she was Lana, and to her sisters she was Susie or Susie Q, and to her nieces and nephews she was Aunt Sue. For her kids it was, “Hey Mom,” and she was known as Grammy to her grandson Foster of whom she was immensely proud.

Lana Sue is survived by her daughter Janet (Fultz) Johnson and Eric Greer of Fayetteville, AR, grandson Foster Johnson and Hannah Porter of Cordova, TN, sister Leta Allee and husband Rick of Pea Ridge, AR, brother-in-law Larry Casto of Lowell, AR, sisters-in-law Sue Colvin of Tontitown, AR, Shurley Dunkle and husband Larry of Carthage, MO, Lynda Crabtree of Rocky Comfort, MO, Ruby Fultz of Rudd, AR, and Mollie Noland of Springdale, AR. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many, friends and co-workers of Tyson Foods.

Lana Sue was preceded in death by her parents Burton and Ima Lea Stark, husband Dale Fultz, son Jerry Fultz, sisters Janelle Holman and Kay Casto, sisters-in-law Margaret Graves and Tawana Ilene Cate, and brothers-in-law Bobby Holman, Earvin Noland, Earnie Fultz, Jim Fultz, Leo Cate, and Paul Colvin.
