Chris Caygill

Christopher Caygill, age 70, of Oak Grove, AR died Monday, December 24, 2018. He passed away in his home with his family by his side. He was born October 26, 1948 in Richmond, CA, son of the late Alexander and Betty (Lewis) Caygill.

On June 7, 1975 he was united in marriage with Rita Gifford and to this union two daughters were born. Christopher served his county in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 31 years at Tyson Foods in Green Forest. Christopher was a Godly, loving husband, father and grandpa. He was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the harmonica at church events. He liked watching sports on TV, yard work, farm work and doing construction jobs on his house. But the best part of his life was when he was spending time with his family.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Rita Caygill of the home, daughters, Chloe Anderson of Columbia, MO, Emma Caygill and fiance, Landon, Wade of Lead Hill, AR, brother, David Caygill of CA, grandchildren, Charlotte and Ronin Anderson, Lorelai, Karlie and Mallorie Coleman, Conner, Kendrick and soon-to-be born Christopher Wade, nieces, Christina and Kelly Vaught.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Vaught.

Celebration Of Life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Chaplin Doug Kisenger officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Cemetery.
