Eloise C Mays

Eloise Mays, age 75, of Alpena, AR passed away in her home on  November 1, 2019. She was born February 9, 1944, in Independence, LA to the late Hausey and Martha Cowart.  Before retiring Eloise had worked at Tyson Foods in Green Forest.  She was first and foremost a devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, fishing, gardening, plants, crossword puzzles and square dancing. Eloise attended Osage Baptist Church and had been a member of Carol Baptist Church in LA. Eloise is survived by her sons, Paul Mays and wife Vickie Jo of Alpena, Clifton Larmar Gabel and wife Dianne of Denham Springs, LA, daughter, Tina Nell Mays of Pelzer, South Carolina, grandchildren, John Paul Mays II and wife Kimberly Price of Watson, LA, Darrell Leslie Mays of Denham Springs, LA, Johnathan Dean Mays of Harrison, AR Amber Louise Young and husband Patrick of Harrison, Jessica Laray Rose of Harrison, Brittany Nell Mays of South Carolina, Katelyn Brown of South Carolina, Arin Brown of South Carolina, Harley Mays of South Carolina, Monita Gabel of Tennesse, Nicholas Gabel of Fairday, LA, Kristy Gabel of Denham Springs, LA, Katrina Jones of South Carolina, Patricia Jean Lawrence of South Carolina, Brandon Bass and Amanda Nelson all of Jonesboro, AR, Courtney Lingenfelter of Crestview, FL, Great-grandchildren, Mason Neal Mays, Payton Mays, Bently Gonzales, Makenna Young, Ella Mays, Austyn Rose, Gavin Rose, Riley Lira, Zeke Anderson, Aden Jones, Natilie Page Beagle, Stephen Gage Morgan, Johnathan Lingenfelter, Gillian Gabel, Shainna Griffin, Braden Osborn, Aden Jones, Sebastian Jones, Willow Jones, Noah Jones, Natalie Lawrence and Abel Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Gina Dell Mays and one son Walter Dean Mays.Funeral Service time and date is pending.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, November 4, 2019 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. Graveside service will be Thursday at Salem Cemetery in Walker, LA with interment following.
