Mary Wadel

Mary Wadel of Berryville, AR was born February 11, 1938 in the Cabanal Community to Clyde and Byrdean (Walters) Newberry.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the age of 81.

Mary was born and raised on a farm in Cabanal and attend school there and at Berryville.  On May 28, 1954 she was united in marriage to Dean Wadel.  They lived on the family farm in the Cabanal community.  Mary was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother.  She enjoyed quilting, flowers, and her family.  She enjoyed going to the senior center to quilt with the ladies.  Mary attended Shiloh United Baptist Church.  She was loved by all and will be missed deeply.

 She is survived by her husband, Dean, of nearly 65 years, Kathy Brown of Harrison, Martha Wadel of Little Rock, and Polly Lichti and husband David of Dryfork and grandchildren Adam and Noah Brown, Abigail, Katherine, and Keith Licht and one nephew J D Wadel.

The funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 20, 2019 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Pastor Jerry Liggett officiating.  Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 Sunday afternoon May 19, 2019 at Smith Family Funeral Home.
