Royce W Collier

Royce Wayne Collier, 80, of Huntsville, AR passed away April 23, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born August 29, 1938 in Augusta, TX, son of John and Viola (Johnson) Collier. On December 14, 1958 Royce married the love of his life, Maudine Hicks Collier.

In 1961 Royce and Maudine moved from Texas to AR. While living in Springdale he worked at Collins and also Andersons Heating and Air Conditioning, but his most valued job was that of being a Minister. Royce pastored Churches in Arkansas including; Mt Olive A/G and Rocky Comfort A/G, Gentry, AR Holiness Chapel Full Gospel, Springdale and was presently pastoring at Cove Church, Berryville. In 1963 Royce became a devoted leader with the (A/G) Royal Rangers where he spent hours teaching boys Biblical Principles and life lessons. His faith was always the center of his life and he was known for his irrevocable sense of family, his gentle spirit and his unyielding love of people.  There wasn’t anything he couldn’t make if he put his mind to it. He loved crafting hunting knives, mussle loader guns, leather work, hunting, fishing and giving to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maudine Collier of the home,  daughters, Cindy Floyd (Stanley) of Metalton, Sheila Cravens of Berryville, Gayla Riggins (Bobby) of Fayetteville, AR, grandchildren, Mary Lillard (Colin), Joy Anderson (Joey), Letha Farmer (Shane), Crystal Hotopp (Willie), Shelli Barbato (Dave), Nick Miller (Ashley), Tony Miller (Stephanie), Nicholas Riggins, Whitney (Cathy) Riggins, Justin Riggins and Robyn Riggins, 30 great-grandchildren, sisters, Sylvia Seales, Brenda Phillips and Phyllis Hallatt, brothers, Buddy Collier and Tommy Collier and numerous friends.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lathan Collier, sister, Golda Herron, grandson, Holdon Floyd and great-grandchildren, Corbett Farmer and Oscar Riggins.

Celebration Of Life will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2019 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with interment following at Farmer Cemetery. Nephews, Rev. Kevin Holloway and Lynn Hudson will officiate. Visitation will be 2-4 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Smith Family Funeral Home.
