Richard Adrian Evans, known to his family and friends as Adrian, passed away on August 22, 2025. He was born on February 15, 1941, in Mason, Texas, to David Wesley and Ethel Blanche (Hubble) Evans. After graduating from Huntsville High School, Adrian went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy.

Adrian had an incredible talent for drawing and sketching, creating pieces that reflected both his artistry and his vibrant personality. He owned The Gold Brick Jewelry Store, where he crafted custom pieces admired by many. His work was especially impressive, having created jewelry for country singer Charley Pride, as well as Dallas Cowboys legends Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders. With the same steady hands, he also built model airplanes and cars with patience and precision.

To say that Adrian lived life to the fullest would be an understatement. He loved dancing, telling jokes, and never missed a chance to make someone smile. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and beautiful creations that will be cherished for generations.

Adrian is survived by his children: son Jason Michael Evans; son Adrian Lee Evans and wife Sarah; daughter Maurle Adrianna Evans Shepperd; and her mother, Mauri Shepperd. He is also survived by grandchildren Saylor Evans, Sevannah Evans, and Michael Sanford and wife Danielle; as well as three great-grandsons, Everett, Noah, and Hayes Sanford. Additional survivors include his brother Ronald Dale Evans and wife Judy; sisters Dorothy Lee Samples and husband Tommy, and Elvalena Sue Evans; sister-in-law Virginia Elsa Durst Evans; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his infant twin sons; his parents; five sisters—Jewel Pauline Evans Graham, Lenora Doris Evans Anderson, Helen Alene Evans Robbins, Alphon Carlet Evans Samples, and Shirley Blanche Evans Seitz—and three brothers: David Wesley Evans Jr., Donald Ray Evans, and Norman Hester Evans.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, Arkansas. Services will be officiated by his nephew, Rev. Bill Anderson. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
