Allen Winton Walker, age 87, of Green Forest, Arkansas, received his heavenly reward on Friday, March 4, 2022. He passed away peacefully in his home. He was born on August 8, 1934, in Mentor, OH, the son of Stephen and Margaret Brooks. On March 19, 1955, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Marlene Denton.
He was a roofer by trade. He had built the last 2 homes that he and Marlene lived in. He was known to be a kind and loving man, helping anyone with any need as long he was able. He was often known for his giving spirit. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Church on the Hill in Berryville and most recently was attending the Green Forest Cowboy Church.
Al is survived by 1 daughter, Karen O'Dell and husband Mike of Little Flock, AR, and 1 son, Mickey Walker and wife Sue of Seffner, FL; 4 grandchildren, Bryan O'Dell and wife Shaanti, Amy Davis and husband Shannon, Michael Walker and Zachary Walker; and 5 great grandchildren, Brett O'Dell, Bryce O'Dell, Jaycie Ertel, Torannce Davis, and Kenzie Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wife Marlene.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
