Aletha Jane Heil, age 93, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2025. She was born on July 27, 1931, in East Prairie, MO, the daughter of the late Henry Lester and Martha Alma Sweet. She attended East Prairie High School where she played basketball and then graduated in 1949.

She was married to Billy Heil for 75 years. They moved to California in 1957 where she worked as a bookkeeper at Finley Rexall Drug Store. In 1983, at retirement, they moved back to Arkansas. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, machine embroidery, and going to craft fairs. She started the Awana program at Osage Baptist Church and was the first Commander. She loved her family and her church. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Beverly Marcil of Colorado and Rebecca (Thomas) Carrillo of Mississippi, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Lester and Martha Alma Sweet, husband Billy Heil, 2 brothers, Henry Lester Sweet and Tony Sweet, and 2 sisters, Margaret Foster and Martha Johnson.

Celebration of Life service for Aletha will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Osage Baptist Church with Brother Lannie Younger officiating.
