Annabelle “Ann” Langston Davis, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the age of 95 in the Highland Court Rehabilitation Facility in Marshall, Arkansas. Born on December 10, 1929, in Green Forest, Arkansas, Ann’s life was a testament to her enduring strength and boundless love for her family and friends.
Ann Davis was not only the cherished matriarch of the family, but also a professional who dedicated her life to the care and well-being of others. Her career as a Nursing Home Administrator, Medical Clinic Administrator, and Juvenile Court Officer reflected her innate ability to lead with both authority and empathy. Ann’s exceptional dedication extended to her role as a long-term caregiver in the later part of her work career, ensuring that those under her care always felt supported and loved.
A Christian, Ann’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. It guided her through trials and triumphs and was evident in her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Her loving spirit was a source of comfort to all who knew her.
Ann’s passion for nurturing extended beyond her professional and family roles, and into her personal interests. An avid gardener, she found joy in the simple pleasure of tending to her plants and flowers. Her hands, always busy, created crafts that reflected her keen eye for detail and her love for creating warmth and beauty in her home.
Her family was the heart of Ann’s world. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Don Yarbrough and his wife Reita, and Alan Yarbrough and his wife Brook, all of Marshall, Arkansas. Her legacy continues through her beloved sister, Mary Jo Langston Wolf of Green Forest, and her brother, Jack Langston and his wife Kay, of Enola. Ann’s grandchildren, Billy and Chris Yarbrough, Garrett Hudson and Heath Yarbrough, Jason and Kyle Yarbrough, Caden Wallis, and Bella Yarbrough, will carry forward her teachings and love. The Light of her life shone brightly on her great-grandchildren – Ryleigh Hudson; River, Jasper, Colt, Sawyer, Harlan, Kamden, Karson, Stephanie, Michael, and Eric Yarbrough; and Erica Nickel – as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Kyah Yarbrough, and Atlas and Arthur Nickel.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband JC Davis, her father and mother, Ray and Monte Langston, and her brothers Buford, Gene and wife Geneva, Joy and wife Anna Langston, and an infant grandson Toby Yarbrough. Ann’s life was a constant reminder of love, wisdom, and courage, qualities that she embodied until her last breath.
Ann Davis will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose guidance and care shaped the lives of many. Her memory will remain a guiding light for her family and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her gracious spirit. Today, we honor Ann’s remarkable journey and celebrate the indelible mark she left on the world.
