Margaret Ann Hurley Juckett, born April 17, 1948, a native of Alpena, Arkansas, passed away on July 14, 2021 at the age of 73. Ann left this world doing exactly what she loved doing most, being on her property, taking care of horses and cattle, and taking care of her land.
Ann had a love of people and of animals. She spent her lifetime serving others through her work in manufacturing, hospice care, volunteer activities, farming, and as the coordinator for the Alpena Cemetery. Always willing to lend a hand or help someone through a rough patch, the number of people Ann’s life touched is innumerate. Ann is known for her compassion, loving heart, and tenderness, as well as her feistiness, grit and perseverance. Ann was one of the kindest people anyone knew.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Ray Juckett, her daughter Marisa Michele Voelkel and husband Carl of Janesville, Wisconsin, her daughter Meika Ann Bartlett of Springdale, AR, and her six grandchildren; her sister Mary Keith “Keesie” Mitchell and husband Calvin; her sister Cathy Lynn Magee; and several nieces and nephews; Wes Scott and his son. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Elwin Keith Hurley and Rosemary Tate of Alpena; her brother John Tate Hurley and her brother Terry Elwin Hurley.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 20th at 11:00 am at the Smith’s Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR. The service will be officiated by Kerry Liggett of Batavia Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Alpena Cemetery fund.
