Anna Sue Lowe of Oak Grove passed away April 16, 2026, in Springfield, MO, at the age of 76. She was born March 4, 1950, in Berryville, AR, to Wilmer and Violet Williams Jones. On December 23, 1989, she married John Lowe, at Silver Dollar City Theme Park where they both spent many years working.

Anna Sue led an adventurous life of giving to others and being involved in her community. She attended all the local social and community events in the Carroll County area, and she loved talking with anyone who would stop a moment to listen. She was a “social bug” you might say. She spent many years writing articles for local newspapers, giving them community updates and sharing the history of her community. She worked at gates at Silver Dollar City for 25 years.

Anna Sue enjoyed many hobbies, from playing bingo, to planting flowers, to shopping yard sales, and attending antique car cruise in shows. She enjoyed tending to her many animals and caring for the hummingbirds. She especially loved hearing the tree frogs. She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband John of the home, son Kevin (Sydney) Lowe of Oak Grove, son Chris (Lizzy) Lowe of Branson, MO, and son Mark (Getoya) Lowe of Tulsa, OK, 10 grandchildren and sister-in-law Nancy Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wilmer and Violet Jones, grandparents Pearlie and Eugene Jones, uncle Reyburn Jones, uncle and aunt Buster and Bonnie Wood, uncle and aunt Luther and Mable Tibbits, uncle and aunt Austin and Althea Doty, uncle and aunt Willie George and Daisy Blevins, uncle Cleao Jones and uncle Eugene Jones.

Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Curtis Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, prior to the start of the service.
