Arnold Joe Chaney

Arnold Joe Chaney, age 88, of Green Forest, AR passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021. He was born September 13, 1932 in Dryfork Community, son of Clint and Oma (Miller) Chaney.

In February 1956 he married the loved of his life, Loeta Youngblood.  Arnold Joe was a Veteran of the US Army, a dairy farmer and cattle farmer.  He loved spending time with his family, fishing, going to the sale barns and tending to his cows.  He was a member of Green Forest Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his sons, Joe Chaney and wife Tricia of Republic, MO, Dewey Middleton of Green Forest, and daughter, Janell Compton and husband David of Green Forest; Grandchildren,  Brent Compton and wife Shannon of Berryville, Mandy McAlister and husband Brad of Green Forest, Joy Compton and wife Lora of Mound City, KS, Jordan Compton and wife Bethany of Bryant, AR, Jeremy Middleton, Samantha Blankenship and husband Clint, and Tosha, Justin and Landon Joe Chaney; Great-grandchildren, Lauren and Carson Compton, Kohl and Ashney McAlister, Trevor and wife Lili Compton, Treyton, Trace, and James Compton, and Baylor Blankenship; Great-great grandchildren, Kaycen and Brantley McAlister, Kira Bond, Adriana Duke, Lelo Brown, Keion Jr. Brown, Bro Chaney, Jackson Chaney, Issac Eldridge, and Olivia Chaney.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Oma Chaney, his wife, Loeta Chaney and 3 brothers, Argle Chaney, R.C. Chaney and Starlin Chaney.

Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Green Forest Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bill Burris officiating.  Interment will follow at Hale Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arnold Joe Chaney memorial fund , Equity Bank, Berryville, Arkansas.
