Audree Kousek of Holiday Island passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born August 30, 1938, in Racine, WI to Ernest and Lillian Bean Eick.


Audree was married to the love of her life, Gene Kousek, for 59 years, until he passed away in 2019. They raised 2 sons, Theron and Scott, in the Chicago, IL area. After their retirement, they moved to Holiday Island in the late 1980’s where they enjoyed their time with friends and area activities.


Audree was a big Chicago Bears fan, and she enjoyed many hobbies, such as bowling, arts and crafts, reading magazines, and taking care of her animals. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. And she was a founding member of Holiday Island Community Church, where she dedicated much of time to serving her church as she lived her life for her Lord and Savior.


Audree was known for her laughter and sense of humor. Her personality would light up a room the moment she walked in. She will be missed by her family and friends.


Audree is survived by her 2 sons, Theron Kousek of St. Louis, MO, and Scott Kousek of Holiday Island. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene, and her 2 siblings, Ernie Eick and Magaret Helland.
