Barbara J. Thompson

Barbara Jane Thompson, age 88, of Berryville, AR passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. She was born June 8, 1934, in Ballston Spa, NY, daughter of Max Robert Noyes and Elva Maude Askew Noyes.

On September 21, 1990, Barbara was united in marriage to Kenneth Thompson. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage, working, playing, traveling and loving life. Barbara’s faith and family always came first. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Berryville. Barbara had been employed for Wal-Mart in Berryville for 17 years, where she worked as a greeter. She would greet people with her beautiful smile and helpful manner.  After her retirement, Barbara enjoyed traveling, dining out and working puzzle books.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Kenneth Thompson of the home, sons, Ronald C. Robinson of Dexter, ME, and Rick Robinson of Saratoga Springs, NY, daughters, Jo-Dee L. Tempesta of Dexter, ME and Shari H. McConnell of Passadumkeag, ME, brothers, Robert B. Noyes and wife Diane of Avon Park, FL and Clifford E. Noyes and wife Moreen of Ballston Spa, NY.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Betty Birnbaum and Beverly Sharadin.

Celebration of Life Memorial will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Pastor Jewel Vance officiating.

Memorials may be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church building fund.
