Beverly Carpenter

Beverly Carpenter of Green Forest, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the age of 77.  She was born January 15, 1947, in San Francisco, CA to Bernard and Mae Katherine (Knick) Temple.

Beverly enjoyed knitting, going to the casino with her friend Joe, cookouts with her family, and watching any & all sports. The boys fondly remember mom picking them up from school in their dad’s hot rods. She was known to be very outspoken. She retired from Tyson Foods after working there for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard & Mae Temple, brothers George Crosson and Ronald Crosson, and son by heart Todd Canfield.

She is survived by her sons Johnnie Carpenter, Jr. and his wife Ronda, Jody Carpenter and his wife January, and Rick Carpenter, and her daughters Kelly Scruggs and husband Matthew, Toni Balaam and her husband Gary, and daughter by heart June Canfield. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Cremation services are provided by Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
