Billy Heil

Billy G. Heil, age 91, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2022.  He was born and grew up in East Prairie, MO on June 15, 1931. He graduated from East Prairie High school.  

Billy was married for 72 years to Aletha Jane Sweet. They moved to California in 1957 where he worked at Kaiser Steel plant until he retired in 1982. After retirement, they moved to Green Forest, AR in June 1983 where he worked at Swift for a short time.

He enjoyed camping, being outdoors, working in his shop and gardening. Billy was loved by many. He always had a smile for everyone. He attended Osage Baptist Church. 

Billy is survived by his wife Aletha, 2 daughters, Beverly Marcil of  Green Forest and Rebecca Carrillo (Thomas) of Terry MS, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Cynthia Heil,1 brother, Benjamin Heil and son-in-law James Louis Marcil.

Celebration of Life service for Billy is Thursday, August 18th at 11:00 AM at Osage Baptist Church with Pastor Lannie Younger officiating. Interment will follow at Gobbler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
