Bobbie Ellen Campbell passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Harrison, AR at the age of 89 years old on January 23, 2026, after a 6-year journey battling dementia, which she fought to the very end, with her daughter by her side. She was born May 24, 1936, to Benjamin and Sylvia Snow Nichols in Cameron, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 Sisters Eva, Maggie and MaryAnn, 1 brother Charles, first husband Dean Grigg, and second husband Harold Campbell.

She is survived by 1 sister Dixie (Larry) Petersen of Jacksonville, NC, 2 sons Verlin (Evelyn) Griggs of Green Forest and Mike (Lora) Campbell of Alpena, and daughter Winona McGehee of Harrison.

She is also survived by grandchildren Benjamin, Kari, Jaclynn, Emily, and Michael, and great grandchildren Sicily, Beaux, Violet, Cavern, Chloe, and Trey and soon arriving Charlie Jo.

Bobbie’s joy was found in playing Rummy on Sunday afternoons and going to thrift stores and eating lunch out on Saturdays. She worked various jobs through the years in order to take care of and support her family.

Celebration of Life will be graveside service at 2:30 PM, Thursday, January 29, at New Home Cemetery with Pastor Todd Rogers officiating. Visitation will be same day from 12:30 - 2:00 pm at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel.

The family wishes heartfelt appreciation to Miss Chelsea and Miss Jessica of Hospice of the Hills, who visited her every week and was there for the most critical time. We also extend heartfelt gratitude to Miss Melissa and Miss Tami, who helped make this last year journey possible to be cared for in her daughter's home. And much love to Mrs. Eve Borg, who checked on us weekly, brought food, lent an ear to vent, a shoulder to cry on and gave hugs when needed.
