Bonita Ableman Obituary

Bonita (Bonnie) Kay Ableman, born February 10, 1949, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, passed away with her family’s love surrounding her in Harrison, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Ableman, and her daughter-in-law, Melissa Bowlby.

Bonnie’s legacy continues through Kenneth Bowlby and her children: Paul Bowlby, Jeremy Bowlby, Jason Bowlby, and Tonya Fitzpatrick. She was a proud grandmother to McKenzie (Austin) Allen, Sheyenne (Andre) Jorden, Dwayne (Dillon) Dawson, Edison Grace and Holly Thompson, Dallas Sharp, Hailey (Ty) Albrecht, Brandon (Courtney) Bowlby, Tia’Janae Rogers and Cody Townson, Taniya Rogers and RJ Aguon, Mykayla Bowlby, Cameron (Alicia) Bowlby, and Trinity Fitzpatrick. Her joy multiplied with her great-grandchildren: Kinslee Bowlby, Walker Allen, Kenneth Brooks Allen, Amari Jorden, Marcus Jorden, Malik Jorden, Raelynn Dawson, Charleigh Dawson, Naomi Dawson, Jordyn Rogers, Drew Cooper Jr., Ma’Layiah Rogers, and Rowan Bowlby.

Bonnie’s greatest happiness was found in her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Whether it was celebrating milestones, sharing laughter around the table, or offering a listening ear, she poured her heart into each relationship. Her grandchildren knew her as their biggest cheerleader, and her great-grandchildren felt the warmth of her unconditional love. She delighted in their stories, their laughter, and their presence, finding joy in watching them grow and thrive.

Known for her sweet and kind spirit, Bonnie loved everyone without hesitation. She was the person you could count on, the shoulder to cry on, the heart that gave endlessly, and the embodiment of love without bounds. Her family will forever remember her as the steady source of comfort, strength, and affection that shaped their lives.

Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, and her family will carry forward the love she gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
