Burma Hope (Goff) Cantwell, was born March 12, 1948 at Bentonville, AR. She was the daughter of Maurice and Verdie (Ruhl) Goff.
Burma attended Bentonville Schools and North Arkansas College. She later attended the University of Arkansas. She married John Cantwell who was a very dynamic part of her life. Burma had an outstanding memory and never forgot a friend.
She is survived by her sons, Maurice Michael and Jeffery Cantwell as well as two grandchildren, John Nealous Cantwell and Jacob Cantwell. She is also, survived by two sisters, Donna Skaggs and Cassie McDonald, and brother Anthony Goff and a host of nieces and nephews.
Burma was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jimmy Goff and infant Clyde Carrol Goff. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and was a consternate reader. The list of her friends was endless.
Burma passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. Burial will be at Alpena Cemetery.
Celebration Memorial Service will be 6:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2022 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Pastor Mike Bishop officiating.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR.
