Carl Wayne Hudson, 78, of Green Forest, Arkansas went to be with Heavenly Father on June 28, 2021. Carl was born in Reedley, California on October 20, 1942 to Noel Hudson and Elsie Sisco Hudson. He was raised in Green Forest, Arkansas and left to join the U.S. Navy at age 17. He was on the USS Sperry subtender. He did two tours with the U.S. Navy. He worked as a quality control engineer for Northrop and then went on to work for Hughes Aircraft and General Dynamics. His last professional endeavor was as a Quality Assurance Specialist with the Department of the Army.
He loved cars, he was a prepper, he loved guns, he was an outdoorsman earlier in life, he owned a business where he made wood doors for Jeep’s, he was a mason, he loved to laugh, he clogged, he square danced, he was a treasure hunter, he was a scuba diver, a poet and writer, an adventurer for travel and experiencing other cultures and cuisine. He was a published author of “Bartlett Deep.” He had a love for music, singing and playing his guitar. You could find him at local swap meets, auctions, and car shows. He was funny and witty, patient and caring. He was a very creative man. He will be remembered by many for his compassion and for being a true friend that could be counted on in a time of need.
Most of all, Carl loved his family, especially his children, grand babies and great-grand babies. He is survived by his sister Judith Hoffman and brother Mike Hudson; three children, sons Sean Hudson and James Hudson of Green Forest, and daughter Suzanne Hudson Coleman and husband Bryson of Daegu, South Korea; ten grandchildren Alexandra Barnes and husband Eric, Zackary Hudson, Taylor Kist, Kayla Hudson, Angelina Hudson, Curtis Kist, Dylan Hudson, Daisy Hudson, Kenzie Coleman and Mikaela Howard; six great-grandchildren Xaviera Hudson, Liam Barnes, Avyana Hudson, Iris Barnes, Jera Hudson and Obediah Barnes. Carl has joined in Heaven his parents Noel and Elsie Hudson; brothers Charles Ray and Douglas Hudson.
Services will be at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR on July 5, 2021 from 2pm-4pm. Carl will be at rest in the family plot at the Pickens Cemetery in Green Forest, next to his parents and with his brother.
