Carleta Taylor, age 88, of Berryville, passed away peacefully to receive her heavenly reward on Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was born March 17, 1935, in Reeds Spring, MO to Walter and Ica Dahms.
In January 1950, Carleta met and married the love of her life, Carl Taylor. Together they raised 1 daughter, and their favorite pastime was square dancing, where they spent many happy times traveling to dances all around the Ozarks. She loved sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She was passionate about doing ceramic artwork as well as taking care of her flowers and roses. She enjoyed telling funny stories to her grandchildren, causing them to laugh hysterically. Most of her career was spent as a seamstress, working at local factories, including 30 years at Glick in Berryville.
Carleta is survived by her daughter, Nancy Swofford and husband Bill of Oak Grove, granddaughters Carla Bruegel and husband Billy of Oak Grove and Melissa Jacob and husband Matt of Berryville, great grandchildren Taylor Edmondson of Branson, MO, Alyson Bruegel of Oak Grove, and Ryan Bruegel of Oak Grove.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Carl, sisters Marie Buchloz and Aileen Anderson, and brother Bill Dahms.
