Carolyn Sue Stark age 80 of Green Forest, AR, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She was born July 7, 1944, in Harrison, AR, to Harvy and Ina York Fultz Smith. She was a graduate of Alpena High School.

On September 5, 1974, Carolyn was united in marriage to Darrell Lee Stark and together they raised their 2 children on the family farm where she worked along-side her husband. Known for her compassion and love for people, she worked as a CNA with the Area Agency on Aging for over 20 years, and she was a beloved Girl Scout Leader where she had many adopted children who called her “momma.” She was a member of Union Church south of Green Forest where she was also a preacher for many years.

Carolyn is survived by her son Curtis Stark of the home, daughter Anita and her husband Ben Gasper of Green Forest, and brother Jerry Smith of San Bernardino, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents Harvy and Ina Smith, husband Darrell Lee Stark, and 1 brother, Leon Smith.

Celebration of Life service for Carolyn will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Bro. David Maybe officiating. Interment will follow at Pickens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Monday, April 14, 2025, at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
