Charles Eugene Evans

Charles Eugene Evans, age 73, of Green Forest, AR, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021.  He was born June 22, 1948, in Canyon, TX to the late Charles Lee and Ruth Faye (Mitchell) Evans. 

Charles graduated from Livermore High School in California.  In July of 1970 he enlisted in the US Army where he earned the following medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Over the years Charles worked as a truck driver and was employed at Tyson Foods in Berryville and Green Forest for many years.  He was united in marriage to Kathryn Price on March 28, 1997.  He was member of General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn in Harrison, AR.  Several years ago, he gave his hand to be baptized to Brother Arp Douglas.  He loved the brethren and loved to share his testimony of Gods goodness in his life.  He enjoyed reading the Bible, playing his guitar, and taking care of his dogs.

Charles is survived by one son, Darren Evans and wife Paula of Sturgeon, MO, daughter-in-law, Olivia Evans of Tracy, California, one brother, Mayford Evans of Harrison, two sisters, Annette Evans and Lawana Ruth Gadberry of Riverbank, CA, grandchildren, Marty Jr and Nathan Evans of CA, Kaitlyn Evans of TN, Scott Kersey and Stephen Kersey of MO and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and brothers, Marty, Robert, and Joe Evans.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Gobbler Cemetery with Brother Martin Kern officiating.
