Dale Woods

Dale Woods, age 89, of Berryville passed away on Tuesday, June 21 at his home.  He was born October 23, 1932, in White Oak to Loss and Eula Wilhite Woods.  On May 19, 1952, he married the love of his life, Neva Gage.  They were married for 68 wonderful years.

Dale was a dairy farmer for over 52 years, and he was known to be a hard worker all his life.  For many years he and his wife worked at Tyson’s as well as working the dairy farm.  He loved working the farm, fishing, going on trail-rides with his horses and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Church of God Holiness in Berryville.

He is survived by his son Jerry Woods of Huntsville, 2 grandsons, Shannon Woods of Berryville and Dustin Woods of Eureka Springs, 2 great grandchildren, Austin and Lexi Woods, and 3 sisters, Jean Vanhook of Alabam, Georgie Houston of Nob Hill and Joann Sanders of Springdale.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Neva Woods and his parents.

Celebration of Life service for Dale will be Friday, June 24, at 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Green Forest.  Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  Pastor Mark Pepple will officiate.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 5 – 7 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Green Forest.
