Dawn McCoy

Dawn Michelle (Deertz) McCoy was born on February 21, 1973, in Harrison, AR, to parents Ronald Deertz and Patricia McKenzie. She passed away on February 6, 2025, at her home in Green Forest, AR.

Shelley, as she is known by most, is the proud NaNa to eleven grandkids, who she enjoyed spoiling. She enjoyed watching mysteries at the museum and hoarding socks, hoodies and pens. If she wasn’t at yard sales or thrift stores then you would find her in her room coloring.

Shelley is survived by her children, Nathan Deertz and wife Heather, Jessi Deertz and husband Nikkoli, Fredrick Deertz and wife Sydnee. Her brothers Jackie and Charles Deertz. Her pride and joy grandkids, Kadee Deertz, Dawson Deertz, Jace Deertz, Ivee Deertz, Harper Deertz, Fredrick Deertz, Annabelle Lampkin, and Izzy Lampkin. She is also survived by her nephews, Leyton Deertz and Spencer Coffel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Patricia, one sister Elaine, grandchildren, Brayden, Chloe, and Zoey and nephew Eddie.

Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest.
