Dean Simpson Obituary
Carlus "Dean" Simpson, age 87, of Green Forest, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, in Harrison, AR. He was born May 14, 1934 on the mountain south of Green Forest, the son of Jerry and Sadie (Scarbrough) Simpson.
Dean graduated from Green Forest High School in 1954 and even drove the bus his Junior and Senior year.
On December 10, 1961 he was united in marriage to Johnnie Bell Barnes. Dean loved to fish and, although he was blind, you could often find him and Johnnie Bell fishing at the lake.
Dean is preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Bell, parents Jerry and Sadie Simpson, brother Frank Simpson, and step-son Danny Harris.
He is survived by his son Jimmy Dean (Jackie), step-daughter Lydia, sister Christine Marshall, and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration Of Life private service was Monday Jan 31, 2022 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
