Boyd “Dewayne” Anderson of Berryville was born September 27th, 1933, to Sherman and Anna Belle Anderson, and departed this life on October 1st, 2021, at the age of 88.
A lifelong resident of Carroll County, Dewayne served in the United States Army where he became a heavy machinery and diesel mechanic, which he used while working for the Berryville Public Schools as a bus mechanic.
He was united in marriage on February 17th, 1958, to his loving wife Vernell, who preceded him in death. They have 3 children who survive them: Annette Anderson, Joyce Hoover, and Mike Anderson, all of Berryville, along with 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Shannon, Chris, Michael, and Crystal and 4 great-grandchildren: Jordan, Ryan, Paige and Mia.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5th from 4-6pm at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Green Forest and Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, October 6th, at 10am, at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Green Forest, with interment following at the Anderson Cemetery.
