Dolly Bunch Obituary

Dolly Mae Bunch passed peacefully to eternal life in heaven on November 7, 2019, surrounded by family. Born Dolly Mae Garrison on October 14, 1930 in the Carr Lane area of Stone County, MO, she was the oldest daughter of Fred and Clara E. Clifton Garrison. She grew up in Carr Lane and then Blue Eye, MO with her 8 siblings; Dewey, Daisy, Dora, David, Daylis, Doris, Donnie, and Doyle. She met John Carol Bunch at the Ozark Café and they were married April 3, 1949. This year they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. In the early years of motherhood Dolly and Carol made Berryville, AR their home and Dolly accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. While raising 5 children, Dolly spent many years working at Glick Manufacturing. She helped open Walton’s Family Center as one of its original employees, and eventually retired after managing the fabric department at what became Walmart for 27 years. After retirement she enjoyed many activities, including quilting, volunteering at the hospital auxiliary, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed painting, bowling, and was very creative. If Dolly saw a finished craft she became determined to make it better and cheaper. She was a member of Towering Oaks Church for many years, a caregiver to her parents, siblings, friends, and neighbors, and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Dewey, David, Daylis, Daisy, Dora, and Doris. She is survived by her husband John Carol, son Russell Bunch (Dena), daughter Karilyn Moeller (Bill), son John Bunch (Cathy), son Stanley Bunch (Brenda), and daughter Zandra Mangrum (Chris). She is also survived by her grandchildren Katrenia Taweel, Matt Bunch, Shara Aatsap, Jonathan Bunch, Renee Sanders, Shawn Bunch, Alicia Vargas, Amanda Goggans, Nathan Mangrum, and Hannah Sanders; 12 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Doyle and Donnie Garrison and many nieces and nephews who called her their second mom.
