Donald G Hocking

Donald Gene Hocking, age 84, of Omaha, AR passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was born September 15, 1935 in Denton, NE son of Earl and Helen (Kitzmiller) Hocking.

 Don married Sue Wisdom in Kansas City, MO, on October 21, 1967. They shared 52 years together.  He was employed in the automotive industry until he retired to the Ozarks a number of years ago.

Don is survived by his wife Sue of the home, 2 daughters, Denise Barnes and husband Tony of Omaha, AR and Leah Doll and husband Bryan of Garden City, MO. 2 sons, Curt Hocking and wife Tracy of Kansas City, MO and Camden Wood of the home, brother, John Hocking and wife Sheila of Grain Valley, MO. Grandchildren  Heath Barnes and wife Christian, Rachelle Blackburn and Lacy Denny, Julie Barragan and husband Jimmy, Morgan Etem and husband John, Sydney Gordon and husband Matthew and Colin Hocking. Great-grandchildren Gracie, Wyatt, Hadilynn and Cecelia Barnes, Mariah and Hunter Blackburn, Hudson Herrera, Braylen and Gavin Griffen, Dalton and Lane Doll, Landon and Isabella Barragan, Ace Etem and Rhenny Hocking. He is also survived by 2 brothers-in-law, Jackie Wisdom and wife Nadine, Jim Wisdom and wife Loretta, 3 sisters-in-law Jean High and husband Marvon, MaryAnn Roberson and husband Mike and Barbara Allen and husband Eddie, very special friends Roxy Katz and Bill, Sandy Bowring, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Hocking, 3 brothers, Bob, Ron and Gerald Hocking, a grandson Adam Barnes and 2 granddaughters Brooke Wall and Tara Denny.

Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Freedom Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Carr Lane, MO.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest, AR.
