Ervin Dwayne Davis, age 89, of Green Forest, AR passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born October 10, 1931 in Denver, AR son of the late James Burk and Ople Mae (Lawrence) Davis.
Dwayne, as he was known by family and friends, graduated from Green Forest High School in 1949. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On September 29, 1956 he married Lena Mae Seitz. Dwayne worked as a printer for Tulsa World Tribune in Tulsa, OK. After moving back to Arkansas he owned and operated a Grade A milk Route for 10 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching all the Razorback and Cardinal games. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dwayne is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lena Mae Davis of the home, daughter, Lena Michelle “Shelley” Stewart and husband Wayne of Texas, 3 sons, Stephen Dwayne Davis of Green Forest, Jeffrey Bryan Davis of TN, James Curtis Davis of Green Forest, 4 grandsons, Russell Davis, Christopher Stewart, Kennedy Stewart, Parker Stewart, 3 granddaughters, Hydie Aleman, Stacey Johnson, Lindsey Brinkman, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother, Jimmie Davis and wife Karen of Farewell, sisters, Helen Jean Smith of OK, Shirley Crumpler of CA and Frances Ward and husband Bill of Berryville.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Mandy Marcam.
Graveside Service will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Farewell Cemetery. Chad Davis will officiate and interment will follow. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
