Earnest Jenkins, 80, of Green Forest, AR. passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009. He was born July 5, 1928 at Farewell, AR to the late Lemuel Jenkins and Euna Morris Jenkins On February 11, 1952 he was united in marriage to Charlene Braswell and to this union four children were born. Earnest was a self employed truck driver until his retirement. He continued attending trucking auctions in Little Rock long after he was unable to participate. Earnest was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a model family man and loved by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his wife Charlene Jenkins, of the home, daughters; Earnestine Smith and husband Mike, of Harrison, Sonya Ragland and husband Steve, of Harrison, Paula Peden and husband Jeff, of Green Forest, one son, David Jenkins of Green Forest., brother, Dean Jenkins and wife Elaine, of Bentonville, sisters; Ruby (Barb) Smith and husband Hoover of Berryville, Dorothy Youngblood of Berryville, six grandchildren: Tina Oliver, Mandy Mitchell, Lauren Ragland, Jessica, Austin and Jennifer Peden, four great-grandchildren: Cody and Cole Yocham, Hayden Brooke Granier, and Hunter Mitchell. Earnest was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Hershel Youngblood, neice, Judy Worley and beloved dog, Prissy. Celebration of Live Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, March 20, 2009 at Green Forest Assembly Of God Church with pastor, Mark Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Pickens Cemetery. Visitation, 6-8 PM, Thursday at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. Memorials may be made to Green Forest Assembly Of God Building Fund. On line condolences at smithfamilyfuneralhome.net
