Echoel Mae "Echo" Sayers, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Oak Grove, Arkansas. Born on June 4, 1964, in Hart, Michigan, Echo was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her. She faced her battle with cancer with the same grace and fortitude that characterized her entire life.
Echo's early years in Michigan were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Thaler, her father, Eugene McLouth, and her brother, William McLouth. Echo's spirit of resilience and her deep capacity for love were shaped by these treasured relationships.
Throughout her life, Echo's greatest joy and achievement were found in the laughter and happiness of her children and grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Krystle Mae and Vesta Cagle, and her sons, Cody Cagle, Ronnie Fultz, and Douglas Hughes. Echo's legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Kamerin, Zachary, Marley, Lillyan, Charlie, Walker, Dakota, Isaiah, and Jeremiah, and her great-grandson, Weston. Each of them was a precious jewel in her crown of life, and she nurtured them with the same dedication and love she gave to her cherished plants.
An avid gardener, Echo found solace and joy in the serene beauty of her garden and house plants. Her green thumb was a testament to her belief in growth, renewal, and the enduring cycle of life. Her garden was not just a hobby but a reflection of her soul—vibrant, full of life, and nurturing.
Echo's interests extended beyond her garden to the many moments spent with her kids and grandkids. Whether it was a quiet afternoon sharing stories or a boisterous family gathering.
As we bid farewell to Echoel Mae Sayers, we hold tight to the countless memories she leaves behind. Echo's spirit, like her garden, will continue to flourish in the hearts of her family.
