Elvin Ray Armer was born on August 17, 1942 to Ernie and Kate (Luper) Armer near Kings River in Berryville, AR. He passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the age of 78 years in his home north of Green Forest.
Elvin graduated as a Berryville Bobcat in 1961, where he played football. Before and after graduation he worked as a dairy farmer. After retiring he switched to a beef operation continuing his farm way of life. He rode his four wheeler to check his cattle and passengers were always welcome; but, he gave no guarantees of them returning dry. He lived life to the fullest by working hard, fishing, sharing conversation, laughter and hugs.
Elvin was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda Joyce (Sisco) on June 15, 1963. They enjoyed the joys and sorrows of married life together for 57 years.
His greatest joy in life was his family. Next to that, he liked being outdoors, shooting deer, squirrel or skeet. Fishing in his Ranger boat was something he truly loved to do and he always had a friend fishing with him. Sharing conversation and laughing with anyone was at the top of his to do list.
Elvin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Sheila and Raymon Nance of Green Forest; Juanita and Joel Baker of Oak Grove; Larinda Joyce Armer of Green Forest; Marty and Kristy Armer of Green Forest.
