Geneva Williams age 91, of Green Forest, AR passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Autumn Hill Nursing Home in Berryville, AR with family at her side.
She was born on March 2, 1928 in Harrison, AR to William Lester Thompson and Frances Elizabeth (Shipman) Frambers.
She was a 1948 graduate of Alpena High School, where she was an avid basketball player. Geneva loved working on the family farm on Long Creek.
On October 10, 1949 she was united in marriage to Johnny Williams, who preceded her in death.
She was member of the Ladies Auxiliary and devoted much of her time to the Alpena Historical Society. Geneva was a caretaker of many. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Geneva will be remembered by her children, Laquita and husband Roy Ramos of Lubbock, TX, Bill and wife Renee of Sedalia, MO, Mark of Waco, TX and Glenda Humbard of Green Forest, AR; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild on the way. Besides her husband and parents she is also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
There will be no visitation services. Celebration Of Life a Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Smith’s Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR, with Pastor Roscoe Wade officiating. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
