George Isbell

George Isbell, age 72, of Green Forest, AR, was born to Jerry and Geraldine (Cottongim) Isbell on February 22, 1951, in Elmhurst, IL. He passed away March 15, 2023, in his home, with his family by his side.

In 1973 George married Janet Youngblood of Blue Eye, MO and had 2 sons, Chad and Garrett Isbell. He spent some years building boat docks and construction. He later went to work at Tyson Foods in Green Forest where he worked in Maintenance and Refrigeration.

In 2004 he was united in marriage with his current wife Faith (Deibert) Isbell and had 1 daughter Gracey (Isbell) Gray.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Faith Isbell, of the home; 3 children, son, Chad Isbell and wife Michel of Blue Eye, MO,  son, Garrett Isbell of Omaha, AR, and daughter, Gracy Isbell Gray and husband Ethan of Green Forest; 2 stepchildren, Cody Parton and wife Bekah of Berryville, and Ashley Carozza and husband Kyle of Berryville; and 14 grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Tyler, Klohe, Josh, Victoria, Logan, Brady, Charley, Cason, Chainey, Marshall, Jett and Oakley. He is also survived by 5 siblings, Buck Isbell and wife Pat of Harrison, Rex Isbell and wife Lori of Harrison, Scott Isbell of Jonesboro, Kirk Isbell of Texas, and Cheryl Isbell of Harrison, as well as a host of friends, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. His smile and friendship will be missed by many.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Geraldine Isbell, sisters Tana Carr and Sue Martin.

Celebration of Life will be 5:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Green Forest Cowboy Church with Pastor Doug Blevins officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. Online condolences can be made at smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
