On March 28, 1953 she was united in marriage with Coy Junior Newberry in Reno, Nevada. Together they were farmers and in the charcoal business, owning and operating Jasper Charcoal and Twin Lakes Charcoal in Cotter. She enjoyed cooking for family and was known for her chicken and dumplings, sweet potatoes, and blackberry cobblers. She loved visiting with friends and had a talent for remembering local family-trees, events, dates and stories of the past that was frequently called upon and will be sorely missed. She spoke of how much she loved going to school when she was young and she worked diligently to finish high-school and dreamed of going to college. She was a hard-worker and could do anything on the farm from raising livestock to operating farm equipment, and keeping a beautiful yard with flowers, always perfectly mowed. She was a member of the United Baptist Church of Green Forest and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by two sons; Jim Newberry and wife Heather of Harrison, Jack Newberry and wife Donna of Metalton.
