Guadalupe Lupita Hernandez

Guadalupe “Lupita” Hernández, de 69 años, de Green Forest, Arkansas, falleció el 11 de abril de 2026.

Nacida en Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, México, hija de Gabriel Guevara Flores y Maria De La Luz Sanchez, Lupita llevó siempre consigo un profundo amor por sus raíces, su familia y la vida que construyó. Fue una esposa, madre y abuela devota, cuya presencia brindaba fortaleza, calidez y alegría a todos los que la rodeaban.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, David Hernandez; su hijo, Jared Hernandez y su esposa Autumn Hernandez, junto con sus hijos Mason Hernandez, Savannah Hernandez y Samuel Hernandez; y su hija, Maressa Rowell y su esposo Jacob Rowell, quienes esperan un bebé que Lupita estaba muy emocionada y orgullosa de conocer.

Lupita encontraba alegría en los momentos simples y significativos de la vida, especialmente al pasar tiempo al aire libre con sus gallinas. Era conocida por ser la persona más alegre y expresiva en cualquier lugar—en el mejor sentido—con una sonrisa brillante y una risa que iluminaba cualquier espacio. Siempre se sabía que estaba cerca por su canto o su silbido.

Tenía un don especial para animar a los demás, siempre capaz de transformar momentos difíciles en algo esperanzador y ofreciendo las palabras justas cuando más se necesitaban. Sobre todo, Lupita fue una mujer de fe profunda, encontrando fortaleza, paz y guía en su relación con Dios. Su fe la sostuvo a lo largo de su vida y seguirá siendo un consuelo para quienes la amaron.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio de Celebración de Vida a las 11:00 a.m. el sábado 18 de abril de 2026 en Smith Family Funeral Home. El sepelio se realizará posteriormente.

Aunque nuestros corazones están llenos de tristeza, encontramos paz al saber que este no es un adiós para siempre. Como dice la Escritura: “Porque el Señor mismo descenderá del cielo… y así estaremos con el Señor para siempre. Por tanto, anímense unos a otros con estas palabras.” — 1 Tesalonicenses 4:16-18

Será profundamente extrañada y recordada por siempre por todos los que la conocieron y la amaron.


Guadalupe “Lupita” Hernández, 69, of Green Forest, Arkansas, passed away on April 11, 2026.

Born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, México, to Gabriel Guevara Flores and Maria De La Luz Sanchez, Lupita carried with her a deep love for her roots, her family, and the life she built. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose presence brought strength, warmth, and joy to those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Hernandez; her son, Jared Hernandez, and his wife Autumn Hernandez, along with their children Mason Hernandez, Savannah Hernandez, and Samuel Hernandez; and her daughter, Maressa Rowell, and her husband Jacob Rowell, who are expecting a little one that Lupita was so excited and proud to meet.

Lupita found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life, especially spending time outdoors with her chickens. She was known for being the loudest person in the room—in the best way—with a bright smile and a laugh that could light up any space. You always knew she was nearby by the sound of her singing or whistling.

She had a special gift for lifting others up, always able to turn a difficult moment into something hopeful and offering just the right words when they were needed most. Above all, Lupita was a woman of deep faith, finding strength, peace, and guidance in her relationship with God. Her faith carried her through life and will continue to be a source of comfort for those she loved.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing this is not the end. As it is written, “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven… and so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
