Hattie Nadine Howerton, age 92, of Green Forest, AR passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born December 12, 1925, in Texas to the late Oliver and Mary Elizabeth (Carney) Peters.
Hattie was a homemaker for many years. She was a wonderful mother, always caring for her family first; she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church for as long as she was able. Hattie enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking.
She is survived by her sons, James Dwight Tucker and wife Teresa of East Peoria, IL, Larry Tucker, Charles Tucker and wife Sheree of Green Forest, daughters, Janet Williams of Alpena and Mary Massengale of Green Forest, brother, Jesse Peters of Lake Havasue City, AZ several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Joe Ferald Tucker, second husband, Albert Lester Howerton, granddaughter, Sonja Savage, brothers, Charlie Peters, Bissell, Cleo, Arthur and Cecil Warren, sisters, Goldie Edmonson, Lorene Matthews, Claudine Sparks and 2 infant brothers.
Celebration Of Life Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Pastor Freddie Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM-11:00AM before the service begins.
