Ina Faye Butler

Ina Faye (Nance) Butler was born June 22, 1928, in Green Forest, AR. She was the 5th child of Boss and Laura Nance. She grew up milking cows, shooting guns, fishing, and playing basketball.

On April 6, 1947, Ina Faye married Harvey Butler. They had 5 children: Shirl, Carolyn, Mark, Terri, and Sherri. She was a pastor’s wife for 54 of their 63 years together.

Ina Faye went home to heaven on the Lord’s Day, Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 94. She is survived by her children, Shirl Bennett and husband Les, Carolyn Wilson, Mark Butler and wife Elena, and Terri Williamson and husband Eric; 11 grandchildren, Kevin Bennett Jeremy Bennett, Lance Bennett, Marty Bennett, Heath Wilson, B.J. Wilson, Bodrick Butler, Tiffany Johnson, Sherry Bernal, Shelby Scitern, and Rhett Williamson; and 26 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Billy Nance and 1 sister, Eula (Nance) Hyche.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Butler; daughter, Sherri Butler; parents, Boss and Laura Nance; brothers, Reyburn Nance, Joe Nance, Lee Thurman Nance, and Paul Nance; and sister Bonnie (Nance) Bessinger.

Private family services will be held under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. Rev. Curtis Bradley of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church (where she was a member) will officiate. Burial will be at New Home Cemetery.
