J B Harp

JB Harp, age 72, of Berryville, AR passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2022, with his wife Peggy of 39 years by his side.  He was born in Berryville on November 17, 1949, to James and Dailey (Doss) Harp.

JB was raised as a lifetime resident of the town, the people and the land that he loved so much.  Anyone that knew him knew that he'd never met a stranger.  He enjoyed sharing his experiences with anybody that had a moment or two or three to just sit down and visit.

His work career took him from mechanical foreman several years with Tyson Foods and working his land up on Crystal Mountain, but his true passion was working with his cows. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dailey Harp, brother JD and his sister Beverly.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Harp of the home, one son Cody Harp of Eureka Springs and his stepson Colby Hollingsworth of Cassville, MO, five grandchildren and many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR.  Online condolences may be let at smithfamilyfuneralhome.net
