Jackie Peden

Jackie W. Peden, 74, of Omaha, AR passed away on June 26, 2022, in his home.  He was born January 23, 1948, to Ira and Delta (Besse) Peden.  He was raised in the Green Forest and Blue Eye areas.  He graduated from Green Forest High School.

Early in life Jackie was a front-end mechanic. He then spent many years operating heavy equipment for Garrison Excavation.  Later in life, he traveled the country with the pipeline.  He loved fishing, stock car racing, playing pitch and spending time with family and friends.

Jackie was married to Peggy Baker.  Together they had 2 children, Ronnie and Amanda; 5 grandchildren, Heather Fitzhugh, Kali Carlton, Tyler Griesenauer, Andrew Griesenauer and Mary Anne Griesenauer; 2 great grandchildren, Sawyer Carlton and Baxton Carlton.

Jackie then married Wendy Peterson and together they had 2 children, Todd and Holly.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Wilford (Pete) and sister Sandra Kay (Sandy). 

He is survived by all his children, grandchildren and 2 brothers: Joe Benny (Iris) and Billy (Jeanie), several nieces, nephews and other family who loved him dearly.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Jackie's niece, Susie (Peden) Reed, her husband Chad and their son Bryce.  She was Jackie’s caregiver in the last several months of his life and her family assisted hime as well.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.  A private family memorial will follow at a future date.  Online condolences can be left at smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
