Jerry Lee Fultz, of Green Forest, AR, was born July 27, 1963, in Harrison, AR. He left this world to be with his Lord and was found deceased on Friday, October 28, 2022, in Green Forest, at the age of 59.
It was at Tyson Foods that he met his wife, Joy Ann English Fultz. They were married on Jerry’s birthday in 1994 in Eureka Springs, AR.
Jerry was born to James Dale Fultz and Lana Sue Stark Fultz. He graduated from Green Forest High School in 1981. Following graduation, he attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville. After attending Arkansas Tech, he started his lifelong career at Tyson Foods, following in the footsteps of his loving mother Lana.
Jerry gave his life over to the Lord as an adult and his Christian faith and walk was a big part of his life. He was a member of and faithfully attended Green Forest United Methodist Church. He participated in small group Bible study groups out of/ in his home along with his wife, Joy. He enjoyed tending to the chickens and taking care of his fur babies. In his spare time, he made his own fishing rods and lures. He designed several rods that had crosses made from cork in the handles.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Joy of 28 years; sons David Cohick and wife Virginia of Green Forest, and Joseph Cohick and wife Karen of Ohio; his mother, Lana Sue Stark Fultz of Green Forest; and sister Janet Fultz Johnson and husband Eric of Fayetteville, AR. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly called him Papa Jerry; also, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of family members and lifelong friends who will cherish the memories they have with him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Dale Fultz; and grandparents Jess and Nora Fultz, and Burton and Ima Lea Thorne Stark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Foundation or a local Animal Shelter of your choice.
Celebration of Life service for Jerry will be 1:30 PM, November 5, 2022, at Green Forest United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Bolin officiating. Interment will be at Farewell Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30-1:30 before the service.
