Jimmie Max Allen, 81, of Berryville, AR began his earthly journey on April 30, 1940, near Viola, MO. He was the seventh of nine children born to Amos Leo and Rebecca Ada (Standlee) Allen. He left this life with its pain and strife on June 25, 2021 in Hollister, MO. He was welcomed into eternity by not only his Lord and Savior but also his wife of almost 60 years, Betty Jo who preceded him in death.
Jimmie graduated from Blue Eye School in 1958 and on July 4, 1959 he was united in marriage with Betty Jo Butler. He was employed by and retired from Georges Gas Company. He was a loving devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jimmie enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and golf. One of his proudest accomplishments was his 9 holes in 1 on the golf course. He loved spending time with his grandsons, watching the St Louis Cardinals, hunting and playing dominoes. He was a member of the Berryville Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Michael Allen and wife Kim of Green Forest, daughter Debra Lyn Allen of Springfield, MO, grandsons, Austin Allen and wife McKenzie of Harrison, AR and Kyle Allen and wife Shayln of Green Forest, brothers, Bud Allen and wife Eloyce of Shell Knob, MO, Harley Allen and wife Laura of Ava, MO, Don Allen and wife Ella Gean of Carr Lane, MO and one sister, Barbara Swofford of Ava, MO.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Arlis and Kenneth Allen and two sisters, Virginia Coder and Dorothy Garrison.
Celebration Of Life will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Mt Olivet Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Cantrell and Pastor Lannie Younger officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Eye Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM before the service.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Heart and Lung Association or American Cancer Society.
