Jimmy Ray Anderson, age 78, of Green Forest, AR passed away September 30, 2018. He was born October 27, 1939 in Carroll County, the son of James Graydon and Ruth Orlena (Carpenter) Anderson.

Jimmy was a life-long resident of Carroll County and a farmer. When he wasn’t working on his farm he enjoyed hunting, going to the sale barn and the local coffee shops and especially enjoyed the camaraderie with his friends. Jimmy loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was outspoken and straightforward and loved harassing pretty much everyone. He was a member of Green Forest Cowboy Church and had been an active member of the Moose Lodge in Harrison for many years.

He is survived by his son, Greg Anderson of Green Forest, daughter, Terri McCall and husband Billy of Berryville, grandchildren, Payton Dyer, Kaidon Anderson, Kennedee Anderson, Drew McCall and Cale McCall and great-grandson, Paxton Dyer, sisters, Virginia Mitchell of Springdale, AR and JoAnn Fletcher of Eagle Rock, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Freddy Anderson.

Celebration Of Life will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Pastor Billy Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Pickens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday, Oct 4th at the funeral home.
