Juanita Jane Ellis

Juanita “Jane” Ellis, age 87, of Green Forest, AR was born June 19, 1933 in Cherryvale, KS to Evert and Wenonah Larimer. Jane went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Jane loved people and never met a stranger. She was a church pianist for many years and had worked as a sales clerk at Hallmark. Jane graduated from Green Forest High School in 1950. On February 10, 1951 she was united in marriage with Billy Gene Ellis. They moved to California and had daughters, Beverly Major in 1952 and Billie Jo “Bitsy” Mickey in 1955. After moving to Tulsa they had daughters, Bonnie Ellis in 1960, Barbara Menefee in 1962, Brenda Ellis in 1966 and finally a boy Ernest Ellis in 1972.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ted Larimer, Ernie Larimer, Max Larimer, and Silas Larimer, daughter Brenda Ellis and son, Ernest Ellis

Jane is survived by her daughters and grandchildren, David Reeves and wife Tascha, Joe Major III and wife Emily, Jesse Styles and wife Shannon, Sarah Price and husband Kody, Paul Thomas Menefee and wife, Billy Menefee and Sabrina Menefee. Great-grandchildren, Brenda Major, Olivia Elmore, Devin Styles, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Styles, Jake Price, Ruthie Price, Alexia Menefee, Eadin Menefee, Kason Correa, McKenzie Baily, Montgomery Menefee, Alexis Reeves, McKenzie Reeves, and Ethan Reeves.  Great-Great Grandson Will Reeves.

Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Phillip Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at Pickens Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
