Judy Peden Obituary

Judy Lynn Peden passed away on January 3rd, 2025, at the age of 59 in Green Forest, AR surrounded by her family. She was born on January 28th, 1965, in Harrison, AR to James and Wanda Heads.

Family was the cornerstone of Judy’s life. She is survived by her beloved parents, James and Wanda Heads of Green Forest, her devoted daughters, Samantha Badley and her husband Dustin, and Amanda Sutton and her husband Zak, all of Green Forest. Judy also leaves behind her caring brother, Jimmy Heads and his wife Mary. Her role as “Nana” to her cherished grandchildren, Karter Jo and Knoxton Badley, and Gunnar and Parker Sutton (aka Shuggy), was one she embraced with immense love and pride. Judy is also survived by nieces Katie Heads of Brandon, MS, and Kara Swayne and husband Michael and their daughter Sophie of Bellevue, NE.

Judy’s work ethic was unparalleled, a trait that shone brightly during her 26 years at Tyson Foods being a lead and supervisor. Most recently, for the past 5 years, she was a 911 dispatcher where she found her calling, serving her community with unwavering commitment and forming lasting bonds with her co-workers who became like a second family to her.

Judy was a woman who loved fishing, she cherished the moments spent by the water, teaching her grandchildren the patience and joy of fishing. Her love for softball and golf extended from her own playing days to cheering on her children and grandchildren from the sidelines.

Each year, Judy eagerly anticipated the family trips to Gulf Shores, AL where memories were made, and laughter echoed along the shorelines. The thrill of buggy riding and the simple pleasure of cooking up some good food were among the many joys of her life. If you knew Judy, you knew her love for her iced cold sun kissed orange drinks with extra ice.

Judy was a force of nature - stubborn, honest, and hardworking. She faced life’s challenges head on and didn’t shy away from telling it like it was. She was also bougie, her hair, makeup, nails, and lashes were a top priority of hers. Her daughters were the pride of her existence, and she poured her heart and soul into their upbringing.

Judy’s legacy is one of love and friendship. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive though the stories shared by her family and the countless lives she impacted.

As we say goodbye to Judy, we celebrate a life well lived, an unwavering commitment to her family and community. She will be dearly missed, but the love she sowed will continue to flourish in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
