Marie Kathryn Pritchard, known as Kathryn or Kathy to her friends and family, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Springdale, AR, after a long battle with lung disease. Born on October 12, 1950, in Berryville, AR, Kathryn's warmth and kindness illuminated the lives of those around her for 74 years.
Kathryn was the beloved wife of Jim Pritchard, with whom she shared countless cherished moments and a life full of love. Together, they nurtured a family that includes their devoted children: Julie Wiley, Keith Dickens, and Ashley Patrick. Her son-in-law, Richard Patrick II, also held a special place in her heart. Kathryn was the guiding star of her family, embodying love and kindness in every role she played. Though predeceased by her parents, Virgil and Betty Van Winkle, and surrounded by the love of her aunt and uncle, Francis and Dale Van Winkle, her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the legacy of her family.
A proud graduate of Green Forest High School, Kathryn's life was marked by her dedication and commitment to those around her. Her former career as a hotel clerk was characterized by the friendly and thoughtful service she provided to guests. She loved listening to their stories.
Kathryn's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her loving and friendly personality. She found great joy in spending quality time with her family, whether it was playing games, shopping, or watching movies together. An avid reader, Kathryn could often be found with a book in hand, lost in stories of romance. Her passion for cats was well-known, and her feline companions were a source of comfort and happiness throughout her life.
Those who knew Kathryn will remember her as a loving, friendly, and thoughtful individual. Her presence was a comfort to her family and friends, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Kathryn's influence extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.
As we bid farewell to Marie Kathryn Pritchard, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a cherished wife, mother, and friend. We will hold dear the memories of her love, her laughter, and the countless ways she made our world a better place. Kathryn's spirit will forever be a beacon of love and kindness in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
