Kenneth Keeland Obituary

Kenneth Clay Keeland of Berryille, AR was born February 28, 1948 in Carr Lane, MO, to Martin Carroll and Edith Marie (Jennings)Keeland, he departed this life Friday August 9, 2019 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 71.

He was joined in marriage on July 24, 1970 to Kathryn W (Smith) Keeland who survives him of the home. He is survived by one daughter Leslea Y. Mann and husband Michael of Berryville, AR. Grandson Michael Hunter Mann and wife Jayden of Berryville, Grandson Jarett Clay Mann of Berryville.  And his “little doll” great-granddaughter Gracelyn Faith Mann.  One Sister Marianna Smith and husband Harl of Berryville, Sister-n-Law Donna Keeland of Springdale, AR and one brother Jimmy Keeland and wife Sharon of Berryville, AR.  Sister-n-Laws Rita Parker and husband Roger of Kingston, AR and Leisa Wheeless and husband Barry of De Soto, TX.  Nieces and Nephews, and a host of family and good friends.

Ken was a cattle/poultry farmer and truck driver all his life. He owned Ken’s Carpet Shop.  He owned K & K Sales, LLC selling generators for many years.   He loved to drive trucks over the road, but his favorite was when he owned and operated his dump trucks.  He loved to be outside on his farm checking cows, brush hogging and sharing his love of farming with his family especially his daughter Leslea.  He raised chickens for Tyson Foods for many years. He loved truck pulls. He loved to work at Church on the Hill in the kitchen cooking or outside keeping watch over the kids.  He enjoyed fishing trips with his Son-n-Law Michael, spending time with his grandsons, Hunter and Jarett Clay and great-granddaughter Gracelyn. You very seldom saw him without with his wife Kathryn by his side. Time spent with family was his greatest joy.

Ken loved to talk about where he was born and raised. Telling many stories about his “ole stomping grounds” in Blue Eye, MO where He graduated high school  in 1966.  Ken was a Vietnam Vet, he proudly served his country in the Army from December 1968 to March of 1970, reaching the level of E-5.

He was preceded in death by his parents, One brother Donald C. Keeland, In-Laws Willard and Helen Smith, Granddaughter Karter-Lea Faith Mann.

Celebration Of Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Church On The Hill, Berryville, AR with Pastor Keith Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Monday, August 12, 2019 at Church On The Hill.
