Leonda Wilson

Leonda Gay (McCreary) Wilson, of Green Forest, AR, departed this life Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 64 years. The daughter of Fred and Linda McCreary was born September 27, 1958, at Harrison, AR.

Leonda was raised and attended school in Blue Eye, MO and spent most of her adult life in Green Forest. She devoted most of her life to caring for others through Home Health and the Carroll County Senior Center. For over 20 years she was a bus driver and Meals On Wheels deliverer.

Her greatest joys in life were her grandkids, her kids, and her family. She enjoyed reading, fishing, playing bingo, watching Senior Olympics and Star Trek. Leonda was a friend to all and had a heart of gold.

She is preceded in death by her father, Fred McCreary, ex-husband Marvin Lee Wilson, grandparents, Georgia and Charlie Marshall and Joe and Vada McCreary, mother and father in-law Jay and Rena Wilson, also good friend David Fritz.

She is survived by her mother, Linda McCreary; children Chandra Leigh (Wilson) Rose, Jacob Leon Wilson and wife Leslie, grandkids, Hayze Conway, Russell Wilson, Iean Conway, Kendall Gonce Wilson, Valeigh Rose, and RuthAnne Wilson, sisters, Freda McCreary and Theresa McCreary and best friends, Teresa Fritz and Kim Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, in the Fellowship Hall at First Freewill Baptist Church in Berryville.  Please feel free to bring a dish and join the family for a Potluck luncheon as they share memories of a life well lived.
