Lydia Sloane Eastwood

It is with the most incredible heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Lydia Sloane Eastwood. She was born to Gregory and Marion Eastwood on September 1st, 2021 and woke up in the arms of Jesus on March 7th, 2022. She was born in Johnson, Arkansas at Willow Creek Women’s Hospital with the help of the most amazing care team anyone could ask for. 

Lydia was the most beautiful, intelligent, and pure hearted tiny baby girl this world has ever known. She loved to be carried throughout the house every day, watching, and keeping up with her big brothers and sister. She loved to stand up while you sat with her, and she wouldn’t accept it any other way, unless it was with her Daddy. Liddy was always so overjoyed to be with her Daddy, until she heard her Mama’s voice and would try to leap out of his arms to get to her. She’d give us the sweetest, big pouty lips paired with her big beautiful icy blue eyes. She woke up so full of joy every morning, blowing the biggest bubbles with her itty-bitty tongue, and she’d laugh when we told her she was our “little spitty baby.”

Lydia’s soul is the brightest light we have ever known. She is the purest embodiment of love, grace, beauty, and perfection. Everyone who knew her in her earthly life loved and adored her. 

Although her earthly life was short, it was rich with love and joy. She loved her family with every fiber of her being. She was always so tickled just to be here with us, and we are forever grateful for that.

The family asks that everyone wear bright, beautiful colors to celebrate our bright, beautiful girl. 

Services for Lydia will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2022, at Metalton United Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Spurlock officiating.  Interment will follow at White Oak Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
